Construction of Hydroelectric power stations usually involves execution of the project on Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) methodology.

Construction of the large hydropower projects involves executing enormous civil works, design of Dam, intake channels, Penstock, Hydro Turbine-Generators, Power House buildings, Power Evacuation and transmission lines.

Usually – all the above major components are carved into Packages which are then given out to the specialized agencies on EPC Basis conforming to the norms as set in the contract document.
